Sandra S Kahn BooksIn her clinical psychotherapy practice, established in 1976, and as a writer and frequent speaker on psychological matters, Sandra S. Kahn has specialized in issues related to male-female relationships, depression, anxiety, divorce, and single mothering, and a variety of other topics. Over the years, she has appeared as a frequent guest on many local and national television shows, including "Oprah," and "Good Morning America." She has been featured in major newspapers, magazines and periodicals around the world.

Her first book, The Kahn Report on Sexual Preferences
(St. Martins, 1981; Avon, 1982), sold extremely well to readers worldwide. Book of the Month Clubs included; McMillan, Preferred Choice, and Psychotherapy and Social Science.

For her second book, The Ex-Wife Syndrome: Cutting the Cord and Breaking Free After the Marriage is Over, (Random House, 1990, Ballantine, 1992), Random House sent Ms. Kahn on a sixteen-city publicity tour of the United States which included both radio and television shows nationwide. Ebury House, the British Publisher, sent her on an extensive tour of the United Kingdom, which also included Ireland. The Ex-Wife Syndrome was published in 11 different languages, was an alternate selection of The Literary Guild, and earned outstanding reviews in both print and the electronic media. Cosmopolitan Magazine printed an excerpt of the book at the time of it's publication. In England, a major sale of the first serial rights went to Today newspaper. Nearly 18 years after the book's publication date, a steady stream of TV and telephone interviews on radio stations around the world continue to keep the book in the public eye. The United Sates paperback from Ballantine Books has been re-issued under the title of Leaving Him Behind; Cutting the Cord and Breaking Free After the Marriage Ends.

Sandra Kahn has hosted her own radio show, Shared Feelings with Sandra Kahn, where she discussed a wide variety of topics with her listeners, as well as with celebrity guests. Sandra Kahn has also worked in the capacity of psychotherapist for The Chicago Bears Organization. She continues to give lectures and seminars on The Ex-Wife Syndrome / Leaving Him Behind throughout the country.

Sandra Kahn is past president of The Chicago Psychological Association and appears in the current edition of Who's Who in America. Sandra Kahn also maintains an active private practice in Northbrook, Illinois.

She is also a frequent guest on The Healthy Life Radio Network.
